Counseling is actually my second career. I spent 13 years in electrical engineering before I decided it wasn’t for me and went to grad school to become a therapist. I understand what it means to make big life changes. I know it’s possible and I want to help you make the changes you need to be more satisfied with your life.
The core of the work that I do is based around a question; what is your unmet need? Whether it’s something in the here and now or an old wound from long ago, I believe that the biggest barriers to the life we want, are the needs we have that get neglected. When we can find those needs and meet the, we find we are much freer to act in the ways we want.
Experience and training:
I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling from UMKC. I work with a wide variety of clients and client concerns which include: anxiety, depression, substance use, life transitions, traumatic event processing, interpersonal relationship issues, and general stress and growth.
